The Padel Surge in the United States Is Just Getting Started
What started as a quiet trend in the United States fitness world has become a full-blown movement. Padel is growing faster than anyone expected, and the momentum shows no signs of slowing down.
From 20 Courts to Over 650 and Climbing
Back in 2019, there were fewer than 20 padel courts across the United States. By early 2025, that number has jumped to more than 650 courts in 31 states. The sport is picking up serious speed, and players at every level are getting in on the action.
Over 100,000 active players across the United States
175 clubs nationwide and growing
53 USPA-affiliated clubs hosting more than 40 national competitions
USPA Membership Is Growing Fast
The U.S. Padel Association saw its membership rise from 163 members in 2020 to 1,917 in 2024. Licensed professionals nearly hit the 2,000 mark by 2025. Amateur participation also continues to climb, passing 100,000 by early 2025.
The Padel Market Is Heating Up
Globally, the padel market was valued at 204 million dollars in 2023 and is expected to reach nearly 493 million by 2032. In the United States, growth is even more intense. Player participation increased by 250 percent since 2022, and more than 70 percent of new sports facilities built in 2024 include padel courts.
Padel is now a central part of the athletic scene in the United States.
Top States and Big-Name Players
Florida leads the way with 268 courts, making up 41 percent of the United States total. Texas, California, and New York follow closely behind. New clubs are opening in major cities like New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, and Charlotte.
The sport is also attracting big names. Celebrities and pro athletes like Jimmy Butler, Andre Agassi, and David Beckham are helping to fuel the sport’s rise. Even high-profile entrepreneurs and investors are getting involved.
Looking Ahead to 2030
If current trends continue, the USPA projects that the United States will have 30,000 courts and 10 million players by 2030. Padel is fast, fun, social, and easy to learn, making it the perfect sport for anyone looking to stay active and engaged.
Padel United Sports Club is proud to be part of this incredible growth across the United States. Whether you're learning the ropes or training to compete, this is where passion and progress meet.
